Sifu Katherine began her Tai Chi journey in 1996 with Senior Master Gary Grooms. In 1998 Master Grooms and his teacher, Grand Master Sin Kwang The', sponsored a trip of about 50 martial artists to mainland China . Sifu Katherine was honored to be chosen by the Grand Master to perform both Yang Tai Chi & the Tai Chi Iron Fan.

Soon after her return from China, Sifu Katherine began to assist teaching Tai Chi with Master Grooms. In December of 1999, she was awarded her Teaching Certification for the Internal Arts Program and in March 2002 she was awarded “Sifu” status. She currently holds the rank of 4th Degree Black Sash.

Sifu Katherine has managed the entire Internal Arts Program at the Norcross location since 2002. She has assisted with shaping and growing the Internal Arts program that is offered here in Georgia .

Sifu Katherine continues to train as a private student of Master Grooms.
