The Internal Arts program at the Chinese Shaolin Centers offers a specialized curriculum designed to improve your overall health and self awareness while teaching you proper body alignment, as well as time-proven self defense. You’ll learn breathing and meditation techniques to help reduce stress. Our program begins by teaching Yang Tai Chi and continues your education with Pa Kua (Bagua), Hsing-I (Xing-ie), and more.

Tai Chi Chuan or “Grand Ultimate Fist” is an extremely effective martial art, but is probably best known today for its phenomenal health benefits. Tai Chi's gentle, flowing motions are simple and natural, making the practice of Tai Chi a safe and healthful exercise. The practice of Tai Chi is very low impact making it a perfect discipline for both men and women of all ages. Tai Chi practice involves intense concentration on your immediate activity with an emphasis on complete relaxation. This combination of the mind being focused on the body’s soft, fluid movements is one reason tai chi is often referred to as "meditation in motion”.

The Chinese Shaolin Centers offer a specialized internal arts curriculum designed to improve overall fitness and enhance self awareness, while teaching proper body structure and mechanics as well as time proven self defense methods.

While Tai Chi is the most recognized form of internal arts from China, it is only one of several internal systems. At the Chinese Shaolin Centers we offer training in Tai Chi, breathing, meditation and Qi Gong, Ba Gua, Xing Yi and additional internal arts philosophy and techniques. Students are able to learn self defense, improve their health and fitness, while challenging their minds through a curriculum that is both comprehensive and mentally stimulating.
